About
I was raised enjoying the outdoors on my parent's farm in Michigan. We raised pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, and many other creatures. In 1998, My Local 4-H club introduced me to the wonderful world of dogs and I Instantly became Obsessed. I began educating myself and competing in dog sports. I traveled the midwest involving myself in dog shows and competitions, I knew at a young age I wanted to work with dogs.After high school, I joined the United States Marine Corps. I toured Afghanistan and Djibouti, Africa which allowed me to learn a lot about the world very quickly. I learned how to manage groups, overcome adversity, and above all, gained invaluable life experience.Once my time in the Marines ended, I was fortunate to land an internship with a dog training facility. I was hired full-time following the internship and began to learn how to run a small dog business. In 2013, I started Cadence K9( since renamed to Happy With Dogs) in Phoenix Arizona. While attending Arizona State University I also worked full-time offering boarding, training, and private lessons. I moved to Miami in 2016 as a solo entrepreneur, and now Happy With Dogs has many employees and clients from all over South Florida. Our team is professional, knowledgeable, skilled, and continuously adapting to provide the best care and training for dogs and their humans. When I am not working I enjoy traveling and participating in various dog sports.
