About

My name is Bill Kazantzidis, and I am the founder of ThinkDog in Heraklion, Crete. I have been training dogs for over 15 years, and throughout this journey I have been passionate about understanding the foundations of the relationship between people and dogs. Driven by this passion, I have attended numerous seminars and educational programs led by some of the world’s most respected dog trainers, while also studying extensively through books and scientific resources. My commitment to continuous improvement has always pushed me to seek the highest standards of education and practical experience. I wanted to find a training system that would be innovative, modern, science- based, and yet practical - one that would give me complete confidence in both my methods and the results I achieve. That search led me to complete the Training Without Conflict program, which elevated my knowledge and gave me a deeper understanding of effective communication, learning theory, and balanced training principles. In addition to my occupation as a pet dog trainer, I serve as a Dog Trainer with the Hellenic Air Force, where I train young patrol dogs and prepare new handlers to work effectively with their dogs in tactical environments. I have also participated in the Hellenic Air Force’s Belgian Malinois breeding program, preparing dogs for obedience and protection work. I actively compete in IGP at the national level and I am a certified helper (decoy) with KOVEPE in Greece. Through ThinkDog, I work with companion dogs and their owners, offering personalized training programs in obedience, behavior modification, and protection training. My goal is not simply to train dogs, but to help owners build a relationship based on trust, clarity, and mutual understanding. I believe that the best results come through teamwork. Every dog has unique needs, motivations, and potential, and my mission is to help each team unlock that potential with respect, clear communication, and compassion. My aim is to create happy, balanced dogs and confident, fulfilled owners. I am constantly striving to become a better trainer because I believe that when we continue to learn, both people and dogs benefit. Ultimately, my purpose is to rebuild and strengthen the relationship between humans and dogs, guiding them toward a partnership where they can communicate, cooperate, and thrive —without conflict.
